When I first arrived in the Netherlands from Chile, one of the little things that completely fascinated me was seeing MiniBiebs around the streets.

The first time I saw one, I remember thinking: “Wait… people just put a tiny library outside their house? And everyone can take a book? How wonderfully simple is that?”

And now… I still can’t believe it: I have my own MiniBieb!

After years of collecting books faster than I could find shelf space for them, I finally opened a little library right outside my house. It’s small. Let’s just say nobody will need a map to find their way around. But every single book has a little story, and I hope they all find a new home.

Of course, I have a soft spot for classics. Give me an old novel, dramatic characters, and a story that has survived for generations, and I’m a happy reader. But I also know that the joy of reading comes in many different flavours.

So this MiniBieb is not only for classic book lovers. You’ll find fantasy adventures, romance (including some spicy reads 🌶️), children’s books, mysteries, and all kinds of unexpected treasures that make someone say: “Oh, I wasn’t looking for this book… but now I need it.”

The idea is simple: take a book, leave a book, and share the joy of reading.

What makes me happiest is imagining all the different people who might open this little door. Maybe someone will discover a childhood favourite, someone else will find a new fantasy world to escape to, or maybe a neighbour will finally read that classic they’ve always wanted to try.

This MiniBieb isn’t trying to be fancy or perfect. It’s just a tiny corner full of stories, created by someone who loves books a little too much (if there is such a thing 😉).

So if you’re nearby in Roermond, take a look! Borrow something, leave something, or stop by and say hello. I can’t wait to see this little library become part of the neighbourhood.

Happy reading, and may your next favourite book be waiting inside a tiny wooden door. 📖✨
